about some numbers.. but really about Maine legalizing same-sex marriages!
0.43% of the US population (the population living in Maine!!!) now have marriage equality for gays! 0.20% for Vermont 2.11% for Massachusetts 0.98% for Iowa 1.15% for Conneticut Grand total (after September when Vermont and Maine go into effect (since they are legislature and not court decisions, it takes a second)) 4.87% of the country!, whoot. lol. If California could just join then it'd be almost 17% looking up those number they also have how many people each electoral vote counts for by state. Ours is about 664,000. Some smaller states are less than 200,000. Each persons vote counts three times more than ours does.. doesn't that suck? At least a CA voter's vote counts slightly more than a texans. | | Tuesday, April 28th, 2009 | | 11:11 pm |
burningman icon.. official word on Q at Burningman 09: Chad cannot miss school and work. and given my history, i don't really trust myself to go without him if i intend to still be dating him.. so unless things change in the next couple months, probably wont be going. even thought i'll have Nothing to do that week (no work, no school) | | 11:10 pm |
New Icons are my friend. drinking 2 L of soda.. rapidly... is my friend. | | Monday, April 20th, 2009 | | 12:50 am |
my note tonight is that they should NOT be making a liveaction Avatar:the last Airbender movie. The TV show was plenty self-sufficient (unless they're going to change the ending to have Katara and Zuko end up together... then i'll go for it, lol) | | Friday, April 3rd, 2009 | | 7:24 pm |

wow. 3 posts in one day after a spell of nothing
i'm just laying around eating food all day. Glad i didn't make an official new years resolution (i just got busy and forgot because i was working) but it would have been something like work out more.. which i'd fail.. or be nicer to chad.. which i've apparently already failed.. or do more things creativly. which i just can't justify spending the time on right now.. i am a bum... and i havn't shaven in a week. so i look like a bum.. | | Thursday, December 25th, 2008 | | 8:06 pm |

(from Denise, my boss) COOKIES! i ate them all already (from Jen, my coworker) new Hookah that works wonderfully (and thanks to Allie quiting cigarettes, weve smoke it 4 times tonight.. yay cancer) (Chad) A magnet that says "overworked and underfucked" ehhh (Chad) one of those CoExist stickers.. don't think im going to put it on my car though. (Chad) Student Veggitarian Cookbook (chad) Rufus Wainwright: Want, One (Allie) a skunk stuffed animal (Allie) another Veggitarian Cookbook (Josh) Now, just in major anticipation for tomorrow... theres one thing and one thing only i asked of my parents... something that they've promised me... something that kinda will stunt my moving out if i DON'T This is of course a computer. Allie tells me they did not get me what exactly i want (I litterally printed out exactly what i wanted) but that i'll still be happy... so i'm really curious. Christmas is so pointless. | | Tuesday, November 18th, 2008 | | 11:22 am |
Just a school update.
iiiiiii'm not gunna lie.. School's kinda kickin' my ass. But if i work my ass off, i may actually finish by June 2010. 5 more quarters to go. I think it'll help to have a bio class again. All this O.Chem and Physics and Plants are making me nuts. Next quarter is more O.Chem and Physics (p.s. I hate physics) but then also Genes/Genetic Expression (with a lab! whoo), and then bio-statistics, which'll probably suck. Well, that schedule is tentative on me being able to get into Physics and BioStats via Wait-listing... which frightens me, but signing up for classes sucks. This weekend i've taken off work though, and i'm going to a CalPIRG statewide retreat in LA! A whole weekend of being a nerdy, activist, hippie! Sweet! Plus getting to meet a couple quasi famous political figures (my favorite kind) (ie, head of Environment California) .. i'm at school now for stupid reasons 1) i skiped my physics DL yesterday to study for Chem midterm 2) we are required to make up the DL's 3) I go to a section this morning 4) i find out they're actually one DL ahead (because they actually are Friday-Tuesday, (not T-F, like the schedule says) because their frist class was on a Friday, while our frist one was on a Monday (because we're MW) So the DL they're doing is actually the one i'll be doing tomorrow in my regular time class!! growl, so now i'm trying to find a different section. one is at 4:40 today (meaning i cut my Plant Physiolgoy class to go to it) the other says 7:10-9:30, whithout any am/pm, so i don't know if it was this morning of if it's a night time class. growl. Again, my ass.... a little bit kicked right now.. trying to salvage I REALLY want an A in Chem and Plant and a B in Physics... CAN I DO IT? right now looks like PLANT: A, Chem: B, Physics: C.. But Finals are 50% of the grade, so we'll see. | | Friday, November 14th, 2008 | | 3:38 pm |
top secret: i have no idea what i'm doing. | | Thursday, October 9th, 2008 | | 11:51 pm |
ON school mostly
Tranfer student party as actually a bit entertaining. Met some people who i couldn't tell you their names now (except for Amit who aparently i went to all 6 years of elementary school with.. maybe) but i would at least recognize a few around campus.. which is nice.. the endless lack of familiar faces gets to you a little bit when you have 3 hours in between classes to wonder alone. Chad came and hung out with me yesterday which was enormously sweet, he spend 6 hours with me and even came to my Organic Chemistry class which made me freak out. so.. yeah, 10 week quarter is crazy.. i have a midtern next week and 2 more the following.. i need some study time but I kinda sold all the rest of my spare time to CalPIRG, i'm supposed to get about 40 hours of time with them a month. i think i'm at like 6 so far for october, lol. again, like every day, procrastinating physics homework.. i'll be so much more happy next year when i no long have this preliminary crap to get through, but O.Chem and Physics are both year long.. so until June 11th, this is my life. I've kinda lost my drive on most of the election things.. Obama and No on 8 all the way, but i've kinda downshifted to 'wait-and-see' mode.. (oh, but in case you want some more Q-voting... Lois Wolk is excellent (State Senate) and Ellen Tausher deserves to keep her seat (US Congress) Yes on Prop 1a is for a High Speed Rail that's good for economy, enviroment, and commuters... Yes on Prop 2 is good for farm animals) | | Sunday, September 21st, 2008 | | 10:31 pm |
It's the Chad and Q show! (this fits us far too well, it's scary actually, i'm freaking out)
When Capricorn and Pisces join together in a love match, on the surface, it may appear to be opposites attracting. Capricorn is down-to-earth and regimented, with a very strong work ethic, while Pisces tends to be more emotional and dreamy, and takes on the needs of those around them. This couple is honest, and can be devoted to one another. They admire one another: Capricorn appreciates Pisces's kind nature, and Pisces is drawn in by Capricorn's quick wit and tenacity. This relationship may develop slowly, the two not necessarily recognizing its progression. But it will get stronger over time. The Capricorn-Pisces duo can really put their heads together and can be fulfilled by their partner. Difficulties can arise if Capricorn is too dominating for Pisces's sensitive side. Pisces needs to understand that this is Capricorn's style and not a personal attack. Pisces might not take too well to Capricorn's stubbornness, but can deal with it through patience and understanding. Pisces enjoys indulging Capricorn through their desire for domestic bliss, which combines well with Capricorn's need for a neat, tidy home and material goods. Capricorn is ruled by Saturn and Pisces is ruled by a combination of Jupiter and Neptune. Saturn is the planet of dedication, authority and responsibility. Higher learning, ethics and standards are ruled by Jupiter, while Neptune influences Pisces's view of dreams and illusions. These three Planets complement one another because they have a good sense of compassionate justice and dedication. Capricorn is an Earth Sign and Pisces is a Water Sign. Earth Signs are about possessions, and the Capricorn-Pisces partners like to surround themselves with material objects that show off their sophistication. The Water Sign relies on emotion and intuition, making the Pisces the fueling force behind the relationship, but in a passive way. Shared love of a comfortable, yet fancy, home life ensures that this couple will aspire to a higher ground. Capricorn is a Cardinal Sign and Pisces is a Mutable Sign. While Capricorn tends to focus on one project at a time, Pisces floats from one thing to another as the feeling strikes them. Because of their flexibility, Pisces may become interested in Capricorn's projects. In turn, Capricorn needs to allow Pisces to enjoy many things at once and not take it personally when Pisces gets bored with something that Capricorn if focused on. Capricorn will stick with Pisces's pursuits even after they've moved on to something else. In return, Pisces can sometimes show Capricorn that flexibility is better than a strong determination to do things a specific way. What's the best aspect of the Capricorn-Pisces relationship? It's their unique blend of temperaments. Both partners enjoy sharing their lives with someone else, and both like to help the other achieve their goals. Their difference in temperaments makes theirs a highly compatible relationship | | Wednesday, September 10th, 2008 | | 11:35 pm |

My horoscopes confirms it
"You definitely deserve justice if you are wronged, but the only way to get it is to demand it!" -Capricorn for August 25 I am going to spend some of my time during the next 3 weeks before school starts volunteering for No on Prop 8 campaign. | | Thursday, August 21st, 2008 | | 3:23 pm |

(teacher:)"Hello students.. my name is Ms. Choksondick" (student:)"More like 'Ms. Makes-me-sick" Harry Potter date push back makes me sad.... stupid strategic release dates. Political times make me think it'd be great to run for congress one day when i'm like 40 or something. | | Friday, August 8th, 2008 | | 10:44 pm |
Beijing
THERE should be a rule about cameras, especially the video type, for athletes walking the path at the Olympic opening ceremonies. It just looks entrily tacky that all the richer nations's athletes are just watching the LCD screens as they walk around. Yeah, olympics started tonight. i know, who cares, but there is some part of me that loves this crap, i wanna go some year. And I'm all for Tibet Freedom.. or at least religious freedom for Tibetians.. but i'm glad the opening ceremonies did not become a protest ground. |
